Two trains were to collide in Valencia Sud station
Two trains were on a collision course by reaching Monday night in Valencia Sud station by a fault in the track circuit, as FGV sources confirmed. Apparently the problem occurred because the presence of a UTA was not reflected in the track circuit (which automatically detects the train and marks the canton as busy to prevent another train entering the same area of \u200b\u200btrack). A train of Line 5 of the 4300 series that ran behind could not stop but only when they sighted the train stopped at the stop Valencia Sud because, apparently, the light was green and was allowed to step (when it should have been red), as described by FGV.
Just yesterday, the Minister Mario Flores announced that the Railway Safety Act "will soon" because there is a draft piece of legislation that "must be approved by the Ministry of Finance and includes the creation of the Railway Safety Agency , which involves an expenditure for the administration. " Flores did not elaborate much more on the latter law (Which was promised after the subway accident in 2006) and pointed out that today was adopted in Corts Accessibility Act.
